Blogging. Never thought I'd start my own- but the more I read other people's blogs and totally get into them the more it has encouraged me to start my own. I think it is really helpful and fulfilling to read other people's perspectives on different topics and about their lives. We just took an over the road trip which hurried me along to get my blogging toosh in gear so all these memories are documented. So here we are- whether people choose to read and follow along or comment and share their opinions I'm looking forward to it all. Sharing my ideas on life- being a first time mom, being the lover of a truck driver... the title says it all.
I'm excited to share with the world and to have something to look back on (McKenna too) of all our travels, our challenges, our wins and losses, our growth, and our fun.
I'm Ellen. I fell in love with a Man that is now the Father to our beautiful baby girl- Miss McKenna born in early June. And were all the Mommas right when they said that the love you feel for your baby is unlike anything else. It has made me feel 'all the feels'. I feel so lucky and blessed to be her Momma. We live in a log cabin in a small town that we purchased in March of 2015 (we'll save the moving and buying a house while being pregnant for another post ;) ). I'm a special education teacher and group fitness instructor, Garett is an over the road truck driver for a business him and his father own, and McKenna well she's a full time curious, energetic, smiling, crying, peeing, pooing, chatting, grabbing, eating all the time little babe. She's currently a little past the three month mark. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but she's a busy little- which in return keeps her Mom and Dad busy too. But surprisingly she's currently laying in bed with Momma just babbling away giving me some time to introduce ourselves.
We try to live passionately, whether it's for one another, for our family and friends, for our work, for our interests, ourselves. I love fitness and health. I'm big on communication- I think that's key to success in any lasting relationship. We love our families. We love our friends. We love trucking and traveling. We love meeting new people and trying new things. We love bringing our little with us everywhere, watching our baby girl grow and loving her endlessly.
So here is to sharing a little piece of our world to the whole world, to connecting with people, to sharing opinions and ideas. I'm looking forward to blogging and sharing our adventures and reading all of yours.
Now, to put some faces to these names
